Our Little Owl on Halloween

Halloween was fun this year as Emma was a little older and could understand, "a little" more about what was going on. She was, of course, an owl. She showed off by doing her "hoot hoot" sounds. Craig's hidden talent is animal noises, so she must have picked it up from him. She obviously found the candy bowl and didn't quite know what to do with all these little pieces that she could take out of this bowl. A few pieces of candy eventually found their way to her mouth and she was pleasantly surprised by these colorful objects. I was proud of myself, I didn't freak out when she ate her first piece of candy, but chalked it up to Halloween.
We went to a Trunk or Treat at Craig's parent's church a few days before Halloween and it was about 70 degrees. Not ideal weather for a one year old in a fleece owl costume, so the pictures of the owl-less owl is there, and the others with more clothes on is actual Halloween night which was more like 50 degrees. Happy Halloween!

Me trying to pry candy out of her hands ;)

But, she snuck one in anyway...

"Should I eat it all??!"
