Emma's ONE!

One year - I don't even know where to start... Our lives have changed so much in a year and I can't imagine life without our sweet girl. You have challenged me to be a better version of myself. Being a parent has pointed out so much of my selfishness and pride, yet brought me to my knees in prayer and for that I am so grateful. From the moment I first heard your little cry in the delivery room, I could not wait to find out who this tiny little person would become. In your one year of life you have brought more smiles, laughter, and fun than I could imagine. You are outdoorsy and love chewing sticks and playing in the dirt, make the greatest faces, love playing peek-a-boo, are obsessed with animals and are the definition of fun-loving. God has truly blessed us and we love you more than life.

Here are a few of the highlights from your 12th month of life:

Already more fashionable than me in your skinny jeans

Can't get enough of your beautiful blue eyes

Playing with your cousin Harlee - 2 months apart

So thankful for the Moyers! At Eisleigh's first birthday party. The girls are 3 weeks apart and Katherine and I actually only 10 days apart ;)

You still absolutely love books

Mommy's girl

It's your "nigh nigh" (aka. night night, aka. blankie)

Harry Potter?

For some strange reason, you love this plastic owl and hoot at it every time you see it.

Teaching you young.

You have your very own rocking chair. (Thanks Aunt Anna for the picture!)

We had to break out the halloween costume early. You're an owl, of course.

3 deep on the way to Target with the Moyers. This should be a Britax car seat ad.

First time in the big girl car seat ... not sure what to think quite yet.

"Mom, I told you I'm a big girl, I can play in the leaves all by myself"

Blessed.

Happy girl.

Just getting in some light reading.

You LOVE apples and had to get one when we were at the apple house.

You and your buddy Evan playing in the pumpkins at the apple house.

The Vanderhorsts came for a visit!

Can't quite figure out how to sleep in the big girl car seat yet.

We had your first birthday party at the park near our house and it was so much fun to celebrate with so many people we love and who love You! Party post to come...
Can't wait for another year with our sweet Emma.
