One other new happening is that I, Hannah, have started a meal service business where I prepare and cook meals and sell them. It's very small right now, but exciting to see where it could lead. I have had a passion for food, nutrition and health since college, so it's fun to see my passion turn into a supplemental income for our family.
How is Emma already 11 months? Whew, time flies! I'm a little late writing the blog update, but here are some of the funny, cute things she is learning and doing.
Milestones for this past month:
* She is talking A LOT
* She says the typical mama, dada, byebye, but also says "pop" and I think she got it from the book The Very Hungry Catepillar because there is a line in it that says, "One Sunday morning, the warm sun came out and - pop! - out of the egg came a tiny and very hungry catepillar." Yep, she has picked up on that and will get the book, bring it to you and say, "pop".
* She has mastered the stairs and can climb up them in a matter of 30 seconds. No more leaving her for even a second - she will be halfway up the stairs.
* She LOVES animals. Dogs, cats, cows, goats, pigs, bunnies, and even owls. She is obsessed with this plastic owl that is supposed to used to keep birds from flying into your windows, but now it is a permament fixture in our garage because everytime we walk out there she says, "hoot, hoot, hoot, hoo-oo-t" like an owl. She and Craig sometimes communicate this way, it's really entertaining.
We don't have any pets, but we don't need to because she sees them all the time between Craig's parent's dog, our neighbors' dogs, and going out to the farm where we get our pork and beef. Last time we went to the farm she got to pet a cow, goat, rooster, and bunny and she thought it was the greatest thing ever.
* She has taken 3 steps. She can stand on her own now for over a minute, so we are waiting for when she figures out that she can just take off.
* She definitely understands us now when we say something or ask her something. She knows the signs for 'eat', 'more', and 'all done'.
* I'm still nursing once a day in the mornings, but she is starting to eat a lot more solid food. Her favorites at the moment are broccoli, carrots, butternut squash, red pepper, eggs, dried cherries and apples.
And, here are a bunch of pictures:
Taking advantage of the beautiful weather, mountains, and DeeDee watching Emma. Our mountain biking date, which kicked my butt!
All time favorite for everyone - this girl loves books and we love reading to her.

One of Emma's (neighbor's) dogs protecting us on our walk. This is the massive hill we get to go up everyday. I think it should be considered a crossfit work out!

We finally met Chase Iverson (2 weeks old) - Oliver's baby brother! He looks just like Oliver did as a baby!
Emma back in her stomping grounds - the Iverson house.
Love you Iversons!
What blog post is complete without a picture of our buddy Evan? We took a little Costco trip together and they thought it was the most fun thing ever.
Emma is reading some cooking magazines trying to help me figure out what to cook for dinner.
